Default Another ratio question .. confused ..

Hello, my ds starts full time nursery school in September (9am to 3.30pm), he will be 3 in June. Now I'm getting all confused as I thought that once he started nursery school, I could maybe take on another under 3 BUT when I have re-read the EYFS it says 'if a child is 4 or 5 and only attends the childminding setting before and/or after and/or school holidays they may be cared for at the same time as three other young children'.

I already care for a 2 yr old and a 1 yr old as well as my ds. Now, does this mean I cannot take on another under 3 until next year when he has turned 4?

Help with this would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Yes that's right and it isn't full time nursery but full time school ie Reception.

Yes but the rising five clause only counts for 4yr olds in full time education at school, so you have to wait till he starts school not turn 4!

Sorry to clarify your own child is in your numbers at all times and you can take a new child on when he starts school in September 2014 assuming you send him then.

Ok thanks for the replies, so it will be September 2014 then when he starts reception when I can take on another. Good job I checked, oh well, I will probably be glad of the rest anyway!
    Thanks
