Default in partnership but dont agree we have different stages

I have a child who attends a private nursery 3 half days and me one day. Mum says today that nursery have said she is above her age in maths ability. I did her starting points and she is at 30-50mths. She is 4 in Oct. She has been going to nursery since she was 1yr old but they only do 1 week of individual planning each term for her and only do starting points when they start a new room rather than reviews. I've had had this child for 4 sessions but she has called in twice a week for the last 2 years as I know mum.

I'm not happy just putting yes she has done something when she hasn't in my care. I checked today and she hasn't moved up since my starting points she still can't count to 10 reliably for one. Mum now things I'm planning under her daughters ability.

    What would you do?

Children do different things in different places - and practitioners look out for different things too!

I'd had a word with the key person who did the assessment and ask what they are looking for / what they have seen etc.

you can only go by what you see. If she does more than that she will move on quickly to the next stage.

My parents were given the LJ at the beginning after I had ticked the things that mindee has done with me, mum ticked a few more which I had yet to see but I trust her seeing more than me as I only have him 2 days. I will go from there

I would consolidate things parent says she can do myself and move on from there.

My mindee is the same age and above age for maths - counts in 10s, recognises numbers up to 100 (not tried any higher yet), adds totals up to 20, counts to 100+ and more. Much younger in other areas though
Happy to be back with the Greenies
