I only started minding in Oct '11 - what am I missing (not a lot it seems!)?

What's the issue with it (aside from it clearly being more stuff to look at and incorporate)??

It was / is horrid. It's a shrink to fit one size fits all document which didn't make a lot of sense when it was written

I am sure I will get my head back around it and try to find positive ways to incorporate it into the Eyfs but at the moment I am cross with them for being so desperately unimaginative.

And they've got an apostrophe in the wrong place on their website - I thought they were supposed to be educated

    Rant over

Sorry, I'm going to be dense here and ask for some clarification
I thought B23 had been phased out when EYFS came in, are we now having to bring it back in?

Yes B23 was phased out when EYFS came in.

Do you remember the cheers as we all recycled the stuff?

However, it seems to have reappeared as new guidance on the Foundation Years website

I never worked under birth to three so know nothing about it. Do we now have to do this as well as eyfs in sept? id it harder, more work, what????

OMG the more i hear about this new eyfs the more i think it is only less work for schools and that pre -school age carers actually have to do more work.

The guidance appeared on the Foundation years website end of last week and emails were sent out telling us about it.

I have no more information than that at the moment.

I have no idea why they would ever think it's a good idea to resurrect it
