What a nightmare, they have taken £31.07 from my account even though the order was not completed by me and the code was showing as worked.

The page showed balance to pay £1.07 (after discount deducted) but they took £31.07 and like I said I did not confirm payment.

I would say to everyone check your bank statements especially if you have had problems with their checkout procedure.

Hopefully it is just me and that you all recieve your orders

You have to make sure the acual cost adds up to £30 and then the VAT on top!

I am only making 1 order! I don't want to be greedy. hope those who have struggled can order

I made a big order one time with Hope when I had a grant (remember them?!) and they sent me one of these coupons before the summer - I used it to buy a caterpillar hatching kit and lifecycle set and I asked them then on the phone if it was for real or a mistake - the lady said it must have been a mistake and they would rectify it soon enough but as it wasn't at that point then to use it and it was fine. Seems to me like they must mean it if they have put it out a second time as if it was a mistake first time and they lost money then wouldn't they be sensible enough not to repeat that mistake? My coupon before the summer said for returning customers only though so I didn't share as didn't think it wold work for anyone else!

I have ordered some lovely farm animal puppets with it this time - thanks!

Thanks Nemo!! I have spent about £20+ but got loads of stuff because before the discount it came to £50+. Have ordered stuff to stock up my arts and crafts cupboard. Really liked some of the rugs, but even with the discount still couldn't warrant paying the amount out at this time of year

What a nightmare, they have taken £31.07 from my account even though the order was not completed by me and the code was showing as worked.

After a phone call got my money back, the woman on the phone was lovely, she let me place the order again so spent £31.07 but cost me £1.07.

She did say that due to the code being abused and individuals making multiply orders from one address that orders are not now being taken online with the code, you have to write in to them.

That's what happens when people get greedy I suppose

thank you OP! Mine arrived this morning and 62p was taken from my account.
For those who haven't ordered but can't get the discount to work - make sure you put £30 PLUS VAT into your basket, so it should come to about £35 - the VAT is removed because you are an educational establishment but you must have the order made up to more than £30 without the VAT before you can use the code.
