National Trust Free open days
Just thought I'd mention that many National Trust places are having an open day next weekend (well, that's the date for the ones near us). I know lots of you are NT members anyway but if not it's a great opportunity to visit somewhere new.
We're trying a couple of new places which have been on my list for ages. I do love a freebie.

Great sign post Maza.
But as a NT member, this is last place I will go...too many people! I am a firm member of the ' I like to go where nobody else goes' club.
But..I did sign up on an open day - so well worth a visit.

Me too FloraDora! Definitely me too! And DH! Gosh, especially DH!
I can't turn down a freebie though! We have nearly signed up several times...
We are still working our way through the abc themed days. Tomorrow we are off to a free day at Polesden Lacey (two free weekends in a row at that venue!) for a donkey derby day - obviously for our 'd', one of the letters with which we were struggling! Our (Roald) Dahl day didn't work out as planned and our 'dark' adventure (bat walk)was cancelled at the last minute. Third time lucky hopefully! Our 'q' is 'queen' and seeing as the queen mother went there for her honeymoon I mentioned that we could cross off two letters - but DD wasn't having that! Not that I'm rushing to get through them either.
