    Hi all hubby and i was thinking about getting a 7 seater next year it would only be used for the business as we have a 2 seater convertable not good for childcare lol.... how would you claim that on tax, i know you can claim either 45p a mile but whats the other option also can i claim tax insurance etc totally baffle with this, say car is 9000 what could i put down on tax form thanks debbiexx

    I bought 7 seater totally for minding so put all costs for car through books, if you do it this way you can't claim 45p per mile as well it's one or the other for the lifetime of the car.

    Are you leasing it - there are options there for claiming the whole amount plus 100% of the petrol, insurance, mot when due, everything really

    My advice is get an accountants advice, even if it is just a 1 off
