Trying to do my planning for the next month, our theme is spring with a few other things thrown in (St. Davids, St.Paricks, Mothers Day and Easter!) I have quite a few craft activities, but struggling to cover PSE and PD.
Any ideas??
then at the end we will look at Holi (yes I know it's the beginning but I am using a bit of artistic licence and putting it at the end) and the coming of spring which encompasses all these colours and more!
this will also make our display into a whole month affair as we add new colours to it, then a final Holi picture with lots of colours...
Just a thought Sally, you cover all 6 areas of L & D in your routine activities, from eating snack (sharing etc) to playing with playdough (using fine motor skills etc).
Just include those in your planning - add a recipe or make some dough

You are quite right, I just never write the routine and continuous provision down and my PSE and PD boxes look empty . Wouldn't normally worry me but I have a feeling in my waters that this could be the month I get that phone call Its only 4.5 years since we were last inspected! just want it to look pretty if you know what I mean
St david's day
chitting potatoes
Holi
Incy Wincy Week for chatter box challenge
rainbow week just because
planting the potatoes
St Patricks day
Easter activities
and something for mother's day
writing letters to our penpals
I have done this for spring. you are quite welcome to use any of it. I think i have probably done to much I wont be doing everything on there but it gives you an idea.
I have filled in the days activities for a rough idea of what i am going to be able to fit in when i have got the right aged children

Wow do you do all your planning like this? you put me to shame
Thanks for sharing there are some really good ideas there.
Sally yes i now do all my planning like this, I have another one on opposites in the monthly themes section. Any new ones i am doing i have added a evaluation sheet which Sarah 707 suggested.
I have done summer, Autumn & winter, christmas, colours, and am working on senses at the moment in this format.
My earlier ones of ducks, animals, shapes, transport are not as good and are pretty basic but it will show ofsted where i have made changes.
Since my children have showed me how to use powerpoint i have got carried away slightly
For PD could you visit a farm to see baby animals newborn etc - would also cover KUoW and PSE.
If we get a day without rain / snow(!) you could have a spring afternoon in the garden including looking for signs of spring and playing some 'spring' games or gardening - Physical Development and KUoW.
You could make some masks (Baker Ross have got some kits) for spring animals - lambs etc - and dress up or make a spring show - PSE and PD and lots of others I think - depending on how old your mindees are...
You can get some lovely Early Years and Primary Packs free which contains sponsor form, peoples stories, posters, stickers, balloons, sponsor sheet, DVD, Lazytown party theme (possibly the children can dance for 20 minutes to raise money, and see if the primary school / playgroup teachers or toddlers might donate for a DANCEATHON . . . every penny helps . . . and it all goes towards helping people in the UK and abroad) . . . a great way to involve children in the community and helping them make a difference!!
Received my packs already as me, my two boys and 6 mindees from 20 months to 9 years are doing the sponsored 3m walk on 21 March for charity!! . . . it was my eldest and 9 yr old mindee suggestion and I thought it was fab!!!!
