    Default Sand!

Help! there is sand all over my house, it's driving my husband crazy. I've put the sand pit at the end of the garden in the hope that the sand would fall off before they get in the house and i've shown them how to brush themselves off! I have swept more times than I can remember today and it's still sandy.

How do you all cope with sand? I'm worried because it makes the laminate slippy. and my hubby crazy!

I use a powerful suction device on the kids before they walk in the house lol

No not really!! to be honest it doesn't bother me too much, with three boys of my own I am so used to 'stuff' coming into the house its normal. I have found though that the majority of sand seems to come out of shoes - perhaps shake shoes out before coming in the house (I am surprised my son can get his feet in for the amount of sand in them ha ha)

I just sweep the laminate a lot!

But then I got rid of the husband so there's nobody to get cross about it!

I don't have the answer, I have the same problem but with glitter, we were doing crafts and oldest mindee tipped the glitter all down her front (wearing a cardigan) so I sent her outside to shake off and she did but all over the sleeping dog. The dog keeps shaking in the house because she can feel the glitter (it was a whole tub) and the glitter is then flying around the room

Yes but even when they do brush it off it still gets everywhere - take a sock off loads fall out - take a nappy off and their bum is covered in the stuff

I hate sand!!! Well it's OK on the beach!!

Don't have a sand pit at the moment but might consider it when we move and have a big garden - it will be right at the end of the garden so hope most will have fallen off by the time they get to the door

    And shoes off outside too
Happy to be back with the Greenies

I have a dustpan brush specifically for sand and dried mud. Brush them over before they come in - it does work

As to glitter - we have glitter glue now - last time there was a glitter fight and now my leather sofa has it stuck to it permanently.

    Yes

Getting rid of the husband does seem to be the solution here - I may give it a go myself - Oh wait I don't really need to as he's very rarely here anyway!!!
