tuft tray
Hi
I don't have alot of money due to losing 2/3of my income this summer. I also don't have a play area or lots of room. I wanted to do some Sensory/Mark making with little ones indoor. Would these be OK tuft trays are quite large and expensive. Thank you x

We have a small child's table with the middle cut out for a cat litter tray - it's perfect for 2 or 3 children to stand and play in together and doesn't take up much space!

Like Sarah we also have cat litter trays. I got them from the £ shop - brilliant quality too. I put them on a little table or the floor - we don't have a table with the middle cut out. I would love one though!
Sometimes I empty one of my under the bed storage boxes for the day if I want something bigger/deeper.
Your trays do look lovely though.

I've used large oven trays in the past. Or Swiss roll type oven trays. Anything flat with edges will do. You'd be surprised what will be in your home already.

You can use absolutely anything that's deep enough to stop the contents spilling out.
I was given some yellow 2.5 litre ice cream tubs and they're great for individual play. I'll put in a blob of shaving foam and some paint, glitter, sequins etc for the children to mix up. Then they use their fingers or a stick to make shapes, write the letters in their name etc. They're good for outdoor play as well as the children can carry them around and sit with them on their knee.
I do also have trays for group play (tuff spot, Lakeland oven shelf soaking tray) but the individual ones are especially good if you have children who are likely to mess up each other's patterns or monopolise the activity.

Ooooh Mouse I like the idea of individual trays, and ones that they can carry around.
At Christmas time I always buy a cheap disposable turkey foil tray. It's nice and reflective for a treasure basket of shiny things or I saw a beautiful small world scene on 'Sun Hats and Wellie Boots' where she added rice and a sprinkle of silver glitter and turned it into a mini ice skating rink for little snowmen/santa cake decorations.
