Cheap craft materials

Hi im new to this group so apologies if this comes up on a regular basis! Can anyone recommend a good place to buy reasonably priced craft materials? Bought the last batch from an eBay shop. Thanks

Home Bargains, Poundland, local scrap store, keep an eye out for offers from Lidl and Aldi.

I'm a meanie I buy very little as most of my craft is made with recycled stuff! I also try and use normal everyday stuff like pasta, paper plates, cotton wool balls, bubble wrap ete.

My little ones most like tearing and cutting so hate spending good money! Having said that I don't do much craft with my little ones as they much prefer messy play!

Sign up for seed/flower catalogues, we like cutting them up, talking about colours and glueing them. They are free

Will 2nd crafty crocodiles as very reasonable and delivery is usually within 2 days. Keep an eye out in wilkinsons, poundland, The Works and all the supermarkets sometimes have offers on too. When they are all selling their xmas stuff off, I buy enough for next year and then forget where I have put it....lol

Great idea about the seed catalogues, I am planning a gardening topic at the moment and this is something I hadn't thought of.

I often find the cheaper pound stores, B and M bargains, home bargains have a huge range of things especially to support seasonal celebrations such as Easter and Christmas.

Wilkinsons for bits and pieces but it really is amazing what you can achieve with recycled materials. I drive my family mad when I fold up all the used wrapping paper on birthdays, the shiny paper on flower bouquets is always nice (not that anyone ever buys me flowers ), sweet wrappers, cereal boxes for cardboard and buy a big pack of paper plates you can make loads with those.

Yep.....when i get flowers i always check out the wrappings first, same with chocs and any free catalogs lol I'm always looking how i can recycle things for crafts.........just this week i was looking for ribbon and saw some lovely ribbon tied up on towels so i bought them( i did need the towels honestly ! ). I even check out the rubbish trollies at supermarkets for bubble wrap ect

Where I live the local council have a shop called Scrap Magic where you can buy lots of cheap craft items. you can pick recycled items such as bottle tops, zips, bits of material, carpet samples, cardboard tubes, and lots lots more for £1.50 for a full shopping basket. i find Morrisons quite cheap for craft items too 75p for pack of glittery pipe cleaners £1 for pack of card etc and Poundland is fab too.

Our local Sure Start has a craft trolley where tou can go and buy stuff very reasonably priced.

Try S&S services (online)i find there prices really good and so is delivery, also use everything else that has been mentioned!!!! Also cant beat a good old Argos catalogue for cutting and sticking!

Home Bargains is my favourite....dunno about money saving though-went there on Sunday and spent £70

That included board games,garden games,dressing up outfits,storage boxes,craft supplies for the whole of spring and summer,kids garden furniture,compost and bulbs and a laminator......

.....my creeping past DH skills with full carrier bags are improving

I love crafty crocodiles as I use it for my rainbow group as well, very additive, I also go to (I think it's called) The Works, it sells cheap books but also lots of crafty items etc x
