    Default Banana Flapjacks

Easy recipe for older children to help with or you to do as a snack.

    160g light brown sugar
    120g butter
    80g margarine
    500g oats
    2 bananas
    4 tbsp golden syrup

Preheat oven to 200C fan/220F normal, sorry don't know gas

    1. Melt butter and margarine together in a big pan over low heat
    2. Add sugar and syrup and melt together for a couple of minutes
    3. Take off the heat and bit by bit mix in oats, it will be quite dry
    4. Mix in mashed bananas, by hand is best to ensure thorough mixing
    5. Spread mixture evenly in oven tray, I used 28cm rectangle one, about 3cm deep
    6. Bake until golden brown, about 12 - 15 minutes
    7. Take out of oven and cool in tin until needed.

    MMM delicious lol

Don't know how healthy they are though... Or how well they freeze.
