    Default The Great Cookie bake-off

No mindees today, but my children were getting bored, so we had a bake-off:

My eldest daughters cookie recipe against my younger daughter's new recipe she learnt at school.

Kept the children occupied for an hour, got them thinking about how to grade the results (e.g. cost of ingredients, ease of making as well as taste and look). And now we have a tin full of yummy cookies!

Brilliant idea, but I agree with Kiddleywinks, which cookies won. I need to know so I can win when I do this with my children.

I think that the more complicated recipe won - Millie's Cookie recipe on BBC Good Food website. It involved more ingredients, including an egg, so more expensive to make and more time spent weighing ingredients, etc. However, they rose really well in the oven (they were huge) and were easy to lift out of the tray. Taste-wise they were all yummy, so in the end I think they were all winners!
