I wonder if I can use baking powder instead of cream of tartar?
-
If you wanted it gluten free you should check that the corn flour is gluten free and possibly the cream of tartare

I looked for it on the website but couldn't find snapping playdough. Maybe start a thread for it and someone will see the title. I am interested in making it too

Did anyone try the playdough? I did it tonight and had to add extra cornflour and then heat it in the microwave as it looked like gloop. I put in green glitter but it doesn't look white anymore so I am going to try again tomorrow with less water.
How is your experience with this?

I tried the conditioner and cornflour playdough. One of my mindees loved it. Its wierd cos it flows but moulds. And smells nice too .

The cream of tartar stops it being sticky - when we have tried without because we forgot to buy it was too sticky to use. Baking powder doesn't have the same effect has to be cream of tartar.
Thank you chatterbox for this

SNAPPING PLAYDOH
It's
1 pack cornflour
2 tablespoons of shampoo/bubble bath/wash up liquid (though I had to add more)
2 tablespoons veggie oil
you can experiment with the amount of bubbles you add to change consistency. It's completely different if made and left overnight to freshly made. The fresh made sort of moves and moulds and snaps whilst if left it dries out and 'snaps' more clearly.
It doesn't keep well as it dries out quite a lot through the day but it's great fun.

when you say a pack of cornflour ... how much is that? as I buy mine from a local grocer and just weigh out whatever quantity I want!
thanks
