The ofsted guidance on agencies I read was clear to me, you can only be registered with either an agency or ofsted (or only one agency not two) however you can apply to another or ofsted while still registered with an agency but have to give proof of resignation from the agency you are finishing with before you can actually be registered by ofsted or new agency.

    Thanks for that Blue Bear
I have only skimmed through the handbook and not really read the DfE guidance...I need to print as I cannot read well online but my printer was giving smoke signals the other day after printed the rest of the updates from Ofsted

Reading debates on this it appears what Ofsted will do or want is contradictory to DfE? ...not sure because I have not as yet read from those who have taken the 2 docs apart...as PLA have already commented I would assume there is some truth in this?

PLA have commented on both Ofsted handbook and DfE guidance for agencies

So those who run them do not require any qualifications... I wonder how they will raise the status and professionalism of cms joining them?
