Default Children and Families Bill debated tomorrow

Labour have called the DfE ministerial team to officially announce the ratios have been dropped...so far there has been no confirmation that it will happen.

    Sharon Hodgson tweeted this today
'Emailed Nick Clegg earlier asking him to lead LibDems in voting to protect childcare ratios during #CFBill debate tomorrow. Fingers crossed!'

It makes me nervous they may not do so??? if it is 'dead in the water' lets give it a burial now!

I asked Sharon what time was the C&F Bill debate but did not get a reply...will find out and post but I am sure it will be on Parliament TV!

I wonder what Truss will say? Someone has to face up to their responsibilities and accept that mistakes have been made

Admitting that they have listened would have given them some credibility...running away from their duty is senseless!!!
But I doubt they take defeat well in that department...I want to see Gove's smirk wiped off his face!

Fingers crossed they come clean but they will undoubtedly try and put themselves in a beneficial light with some kind of spin!

Wait and see what happens next.

    Last tweet from Sharon...

'Ratios amendment defeated today, with no support from the Lib Dems, but at least we now know for sure that the campaign has been won #CFBill'

Is she saying the LibDems did not vote to abandon ratios? where was Clegg?
Anyway we can bury ratios and focus on agencies

i guess just cos Clegg voted against did not mean the rest of his party did mind you I read this to mean that Lib Dems did not support the ratios amendment.

Come clean...very sad that 'pelting with eggs' is not allowed in the House of Commons!!
I could have thrown a few just for the stress they put us under and the millions of words written and the rest of the worry they caused...

I at least would hope that with the "millions of words written" that they can see that with or without formal qualifications in English and level 3 in childcare that we can argue against injustice and form ranks with other professionals. Hope their perception of us has changed if nothing else!

Just received a message from Sharon Hodgson researcher abut the debate...not sure what a partition is but looks as if they are none too willing to announce...

'No set time as the gov have refused to put partitions in to make sure we get to it, but we'll be tweeting'

    Got it!!!
A very lengthy debate ...scroll down to C&F Bill and then start at point 186, also 222 when Truss starts her speech, 225 for agencies and 229 when she says she will name those interested
Look out for Meg Hillier MP on 239 arguing against agencies

Sharon Hodgson and Meg Hillier get my cheers!!!

Truss confirms ratios are dropped but blames Clegg...waffling on cost of childcae but not addressing Free Entitlement or bureaucracy...she cannot stop reading, can't say anything without that script???
