not sure WHEN they say she met with the childminders ... i am assuming this is after MGC published ... there were a couple of childminders who posted on pacey local who met with her back in march/april??? and they said there were some other minders there. but they were not listened to particuarly, nor was anyone asked to introduced themselves!

Looking at the list it seems after she announced MGC in October 2012 and May 2013
I met her 10 August 2012 before she was Minister for Childcare...so I AM OUT of the 10 but I promise I did not agree with her agency plan!!
Wonder why the cms were not named?
I saw your post Marie55...no problem, we were obviously thinking the same abut info sharing!!

i wondered if they were named ... in the list of those 'settings' who had one meeting with truss, but each of them uses a business name? like 'duckilings childcare' 'first class childcare' ?

Northamptonshire Childminding Association have not disclosed this to members! The last thing heard was the invite for those in favour of agencies to go and meet with Truss! perhaps those of us not in favour have been left out of our own network?!

I have come across this today as well
How many of those are interested in setting up agencies? and why is Ofsted there?
quite a few nurseries...NDNA have said they are not interested in setting up agencies, no one else has made a statement...all this to be done on behalf of cms...what do they know apart from they could make money out of us?
Should we write to them???

I read this article in Nursery World recently where 4children have been given funding for a 2 year pilot on childcare hubs and it states they are not childminding agencies, which made me wonder if childminder agencies may not happen? I had a search on the forum and couldn't find any threads about this so apologies if there is and I haven't found it!

If you read my feedback from the conference yesterday it was clear the DfE wants agencies
Sue Robb did a presentation and she is the 4 Children CEO...she said 'we will keep an eye on agencies'...that sounded to me like she was not too happy...in fact no one in the room was..
so we need to kep our eyes and ears open and keep the pressure on
