    Default childcare vouchers

    I really dont know if this is the correct place to post this but ive just had confirmation that i can start looking after a little boy come september.Im sooo excited!!!!One question they asked was,do i accept childcare vouchers??Please tell me how these work and how i get paid?

    I suppose it depends on whether they mean the free nursery funding that is available to 3 years olds - in which case you have to be accreddited. OR the voucher scheme some businesses use.

    If it is the second it is fairly straight forward. You register with the Voucher Scheme the parents want to use (I am only registered with Edenred so don't know about others ) complete the necessary forms indicating whether you want an electronic transfer or paper vouchers (eletronic is easier) in which case you put in your bank details and send it to voucher company. Not sure exactly how long it takes to set up as I have had mine for years

    I then give parents their invoice at the end of the month and they arrange for payment to be transferred usually within a couple of days.
