    Default contact lenses- ?

    strange request think i may of asked it before too but if i was to get some contacts could i put these through as expenses...one of mymindees goes straight for them everytime im his height....and today the bloomin things fell in the paint when i was clearing up outside

    have never used contacts before and the thought of sticking something in my eye really turns my stomach but my glasses just arent practical at the mo

    Hi, I am on a course on 21 June, with someone from the tax office re self assessment, giving updates on what we should and shouldn't be putting through our books as lots has changed. Once I have some information will let the forum know. Will keep you posted.

    oooh this would be good if we could...I have just had an eye test this week and swapped to contacts from glasses for the same reason...mindees kept grabbing them...costing me £19 a month after the trial week

    Worth an ask but I doubt it as you need something to see with anyway - a bit like shoes and boots I think

    You could claim for protective eyewear (including with prescription lenses) if it was necessary for your job, but not contact lenses or ordinary glasses I am afraid.

    As Debbie says, same with shoes - if you need steel toe caps you can claim for them, but not ordinary shoes or boots.

    ah well...never mind, thanks for the info...really dont think i could poke my eyes anyways....perhaps il get some goggles to go over them instead
