    Default Expenses Question

Just doing last yrs accts for the whole tax credits thing (Iknow not very organised!!)

Looking at my expenses and seems quite a lot but then I haven't earned very much thru the yr!!

What sort of percentage of your income do you find your expenses come out at??? or is it about the same each year regardless of the income???

Mine seems to be quite relative tho I have never earned more than £6k and have had 3 maternity leaves since I started minding!!

    cheers ladies x

just looking at a few threads on here and it looks like the concensus is between 1/3 and 2/3's depending on what you've earned - think mine falls somewhere around that (without getting the calculator out to actually do the sums lol) so praps not so high after all then?!?!?

Don't worry about the percentage if it is high and you make a small profit or even a loss. As long as you have receipts and can justify the expenses you don't have anything to worry about.
