    Default Car Insurance Query

    Hey All

When I upgrade my current Car Insurance to include Business Class I use, can I claim the difference (as I assume it will mean an increase in price!!!) as an expense for the business???

I pay by Monthly Direct Debit, so thought I would just claim the difference in price each month as an expense?

    Thanks

    Nat

    Thanks!

I don't see why I wouldn't be able to as it's an extra cost incurred because of the business.

If you claim 40 per mile then that covers all your motoring costs, insurance, mot, petrol etc so I don't think you would be able to put down the extra charged for business use as an expense.

I am thinking 40p a mile covers all motoring expenses. My husband has a motor traders policy, for me to be added for my businees it costs an extra £250.00 a year. I do not claim for it on top of my 40p. We thought £250.00 was good because the policy costs £3,000.00 a year.
