    Default electricity meter

Hi, before I get registered I'm trying to sort everything out in my own head. I have a key meter and have read that I can claim a %age. But how does that work with a meter as I don't get a bill? I am hoping to get it changed anyway as the cost is quite a bit more than a normal meter.

Do you get a receipt when you buy electricity or do you just put money in? If it is just money in you are going to have to keep a record of what you put in.
