    Default Food Charging

    Can you clarify something please.

If you charge parents directly for food ie, £2.00 a day can you claim for food using your receipts in your tax return?

You can only put expenses on your tax return ... if you work it out and food costs you £4 a day (for example) and you charge parents £2 a day then you can put £2 into your expenses

Yes. I put the whole amount through as expenses , and obviously the whole charge to parents as income. As sarah says the difference will be say £2 but i put the full amounts in the paperwork.
