Admin are often asked for debt management advice - a commonly recurring question is whether an insurance company will pay out if a parent owes money...

No insurance company will guarantee you payment if a parent fails to pay - they simply cannot afford to do that.

You need to take responsibility and manage your payments so parents do not get into debt in the first place -

1. Take a deposit and hold onto it for the duration of the contract

1a. Don't forget to adjust the deposit amount if the child's hours change

2. Arrange payment weekly or monthly in advance

3. If payment does not arrive on the due date tell parent to take their child to the bank with them and get your cash

4. Do not work if you have not been paid - ever...
