    Default Help!

Sorry, probably being very dense. This is only the second tax return I've done.

I have a spreadsheet which very helpfully works out various things for me - my Dad wrote it, using the PACEY accounts book for guidance.

I'm now trying to complete the tax return online and there's stacks of info it's asking for on the expenses pages - and I really don't remember them from last year - I thought I pretty much had to fill in an income figure, expenses figure, charity donations and that was it.... Am I just remembering wrong or are there two different self assessment forms?

Getting a bit stressed now and I thought I had it all in hand.....

hopefully someone else will see this and be able to help

Hiya, it's all changed this year...! You are definitely doing the right tax return, I had to research a few of the questions especially the ones about capital gains.

You have a choice of doing full accounts or not. Go back to the beginning and don't opt for full accounts (this is why you are getting a lot of sections to fill in)
