Hello all can you claim a percentage of your car tax and mot?

If you are going to claim capital allowances (business percentage for your car) and not the .45p a mile.

No, as Muffin says if you are claiming 45p for every mile you do for childminding then this rate includes all car expenses - everything from petrol, mot, insurance, servicing, repairs, new tyres, breakdown cover - the only thing you can claim for is car valeting a couple of times a year, (similar to being able to claim for having house carpets cleaned).

and the interest you may be incurring if you took a loan to buy the vehicle - business proportion only
