Online self assessment help step by step help required please

Hi,

I registered as self employed as of 1st March 2014, so I need to submit a self assessments for the year ending 5th April 2014 and am struggling

Are there any experts out that with plenty of patience who would be prepared to help me step by step?

You just need to do your accounts for March 2014 - list all the income (deduct 10% from the total for wear and tear) and all the expenses including equipment you bought before you started minding, I do a paper copy so not sure what boxes you would fill in.
I put income (less wear & tear 10%) in the Turnover box
Expenses in the Expenses box
Take the expenses away from income/turnover and if it's a minus figure then you fill in the loss box, if it's not then you have made a profit.

You have got until Jan 2015 to submit it on-line (I think) but I have to get my paper copy done by Oct

I would recommend finishing your financial year on 31st March and starting next one on 1st april as this is how most invoices and expenses are recorded
