    Default Business use car insurance

    Hi
Currently I am husbands insurance as an additional driver (as spouse)
I have rung up about it, to change it to business use
I have been told that it will be classed as class 1 transfer so that I use it as self employed and husband use as employed (we share the car at the moment)
I was told I can have a letter sent to be from the insurance stating that I am a childminder, self employed with class 1 transfer. I was told I can't have class 1 business insurance as husband is employed and his insurance is for home to work and work to home.
Can anyone tell me if this sounds right please

I have always been the additional driver and so haven't built up any no claims in my own right.

I always had class 1 business use and DH was noted as a driver too. Meant he could drive with the children in the car.

    Ok thanks chatterbox
I'm just worried that this class 1 transfer isn't the right one
Is anyone else the second driver on partner policy with class 1 transfer instead of class 1 business insurance?

I AM on my husbands insurance as a second named driver with business use. What company are you with? IT WAS ALSO FREE TO PUT BUSINESS INSURANCE ON.
