If I buy a new laptop on credit can I put the whole purchase price through the books or only the monthly payments made so far?

I would be interested in replies to this as am thinking of buying a new laptop outright but didn't know if I could claim on it - will be just for work and doing my svq in childcare xx

I bought mine in one go and my accountant put it through in one go but only the % that would be used for work. I would have thought if you are buying on installments that you would put it through as you pay for it.

I think your right rick, thanks for your reply. If its purely a works laptop only then you can claim the whole amount scottishlass.
