Confused about accounts, keeping reciepts, claiming food and expenses, please help

Hi.

I have been registered since august and am trying to use the NCMA accounts book, although I tend to do a monthly sheet rather than weekly.

I only have 2 children on board and cm2 days a week. The mum provides all food for baby, ocasionally I provide a yoghurt or banana for pudding but I feed the 5 yr old out of the £4 I charge for the hour I have him. I also pick him up from school on the way back from picking my children up, 4 mile detour.

I have saved all my receipts for fuel as im self employed in another job too. I dont really have a lot to pay out for so am a bit confused what I need to save?

Can I claim anything for water/ heating? and how do I do this?

Any other help would be great thanks

You can claim for water and heating, there are some very good information sheets on the free downloads page here, and also on the hmrc website. Also I have found that the tax office are very friendly and helpful if anything is not clear.
