The mutterings and ramblings of a middle aged child.....

  1. The park

    by , 17-11-2012 at 05:51 PM (Wibblewobble's blog.)
Yesterday we went to the local big park. I took A (2) and G (2.5). The weather was wonderful, cold but dry and sunny and with all the running round we did we kept nice and warm. G took his wooden sword and his main theme was "killing dragons". Well those pesky dragons were real pains....every time we went round a corner they had already run off. So we never caught up with them.

A (non verbal ?SEN) ran round like a headless chicken but i managed to keep his concentration for ...

    It was actually very good.

I know i sound surprised but the quality of training for my network is usually quite poor.

Last night was about working with parents...this as you know is the big "thing" with the new EYFS.

We started with remembering what i felt like when we were new parents ourselves and how we felt when (if we did) we had to go back to work.

I could really connect with this as i had dd1 when i was 19 and started my training ...
  3. Having to tighten our belts

I went into town with O and we went into the Works. I bought three books which were about £3 each for the three EYFS children i look after.

I will confess i have a Reflective Diary. It is separate from my normal work diary. In it i put thoughts about the day. What happened, why do i think it happened and what can i do to improve on this outcome next time.

It may be an activity, i will write down what we have done and how the activity evolved. ...

  5. something...of very little interest

    by , 18-10-2012 at 12:51 PM (Wibblewobble's blog.)
Beachy and I went on a "messy play" study session last monday. The session itself was not really very good (as usual) but we were given the opportunity to try out some messy play stuff. I had a feel of "Gelibaff" and i have come to the conclusion that will not ne brought into my home.....i am sorry but i HATE jelly with a passion and it makes me heave.....i dont think a vomming childminder is conducive to learning. BUT i did have a play with fake snow......i have seen it but ...
