Hiya, welcome to the forum. My pre reg visit was really positive. Mrs O wanted to look at some policies, risk assessments and permission letters. She had a look round the house and garden and was genuinely impressed with my playroom whaich was nice. She asked things like, how I plsnned on delivering eyfs, what I would need to do if I minded a child with SEN and that was about it. She was really lovely and made me feel at ease. Good luck with yours. x:thumbsup:

Have you got a copy of the Pre reg booklet, that should give you some idea of the questions they will ask.
Good luck with it all

I just had my pre-reg visit a couple of weeks ago. The lady was really nice, she asked a few questions about me, why I wanted to be a childminder and a bit about my experience with children. She then looked around the house, asking me to point out how the different areas would be used and that was it really. Se wasnt interested in looking at any of my policies or procedures.

I have my pre-reg visit on Tuesday and I'm really really dreading it! I'm so nervous already as the EYFS is completely new to me having not worked in childcare before so I'm finding it all a little overhelming :panic:

Hi all,
I am completely new to child minding. I am just in the process of booking my Safeguarding and paediatric First Aid, and I'm waiting to LA to come back to me re a pre-reg session.
Once I have completed the Safeguarding and Paediatric First Aid, how long will it take for Ofsted to come and inspect me?
