Hi all,
It may seem like a daft question, but what exactly is a Learning Journey?????

I am overdue my 1st inspection, and Prospects have rung today to see if I am minding, so will need to ring them back to say yes :( But everything that I read seems to mention LJs, but I have no idea what one is?!?!?!

Each of my mindees have a development file, which includes observations, assessments, photos, artwork, planning for development etc... Is this all a learning journey is (but with a fancy name) or is there a specific format that people follow?!?!

Any advice would be great! And thanks in advance :)

Sounds like your files are learning journals under a different name to me. Sounds like youve got what you need. x:thumbsup:

Ditto what tink said, they sound lovely, but in my part of the world a development file is the posh name and LJ is the common one!!!!!

Thanks -that puts my mind at ease (about that part anyway!!)

Just battling through the SEF that I started before Christmas but never completed... so fingers crossed I can get stuff updated a bit more before I ring them back!! Don't want a visit during the easter holidays, but no doubt they will turn up on my busiest day which also happens to be my birthday!

But thanks again for the info
