I've just submitted an online form to my local environmental health to register with them. Does anyone know what happens next? I know they are saying i need to register with them at least 28 days before starting my business. I'm hoping to get started as soon as i get my certificate and get some mindees...so don't want environmental health to be slowing me down!!! Will they send me a letter saying i'm registered now or will they inspect me first???
Thanks, Kelly:)

Sorry Kelly I can't really help you.
I live in an area where we don't have to register at the moment so haven't gone through the process at all.
Hopefully someone who has done this will see this post soon.

I had to register ages ago
I had a telephone call
They sent me a form to fill in
I filled in the form and sent it off
They called me and asked if I mind over 6 children at any one time - I said no
So they said ok they will not have to come out and see me
I then had a letter back to confirm that I was registered with them
I think it took about 7 days in all to complete
Good luck

The only way I knew about it is because I had a call about it
So for the moment I would not worry about it unless someone calls you or sends you a letter - otherwise how do they expect you to know about it ?

I rang them when I first registered and they told me I didn't need to register with them.
I got a letter and questionnaire off them today asking me to register.
I wouldn't worry too much about it, it seems to vary from region to region :)

They told us at our briefing session that we needed to register with environmental health. If it only takes about 7 days then that should be ok then:)
