Hi., a mindee with an anger problem kicked another in the face today on purpose - redness and bruising and tears.
Is it appropriate to log this as a roc?
thanks

It is an INCIDENT so log it as an incident in both childrens folders...
Explain to parent of the "offender" mindee kicked a child in the face this is how I dealt with it and I need you to sign this
Explain to parent of the "victim" A child kicked your child in the face I dealt with the situation can you sign this
Dont mention names to either parent, but I think you need to log it as it IS an incident

I would say this would warrant an incident form.
Get parents to sign and arrange to have a word at some point if you feel its necessary.
Then I would keep my copy as a roc and possibly write a few more details.
But.....this is all just what comes to mind first, i am actually rubbish at this stuff myself!
Hope some more experienced people come along
I agree then Id risk assess even mentally to look at what could be done if anything to ensure that there is no repeat.
