I'm trying to get accredited at the minute but we're thinking of moving to a different area this year. I know most councils have their own rules for being accredited so if I become accredited now will that go with me or will I need to be re-accredited once I move?

i used to live in hampshire and was accrediated there for a couple of years.
last april i moved to north yorkshire, and had to start the whole process off again! because i needed to be assessed with minded children, and didn't have any mindees, my DO here, emailed my DO from hampshire, who wrote me a reference, and this was accepted as part of my application and assesment. ( my DO was rushing my accreditation through, as needed me for a funded child! and no other minders locally! )
i would phone the FIS for the area you are moving to, and ask to speak to someone about being an accrediated childminder. i found my LA very helpful.

Every area has their own rules... so you'd more than likely have to start again.
Are you moving far? :D
