Hi i haven't worked for 2 years due to health reasons getting ready to start again putting ads up updated my FIS hoping to get work soon.
Got a phone call from an inspector last Friday wanting to come and do a non grading inspection as i have no children. I explained the situation she said i need the inspection as i haven't had one since 2007 to see if i still meet the requirments. So shes coming on the 30th she was very nice, has anyone else had this she did say i won't have another one afther i start work this is my inspection.
I asked her could i still use my old grading "outstanding" she just said i could show people my old report saying it my last grading report. So looks like i have to go 3 years with no grading.
Anyone else had this

That's a tricky one - you were outstanding in 2007 before the Eyfs came in so you have not been inspected on the new requirements.

Plus you don't have children so you cannot normally get better than satisfactory - although some have got good.

Do you have Eyfs paperwork / SEF etc in place to lift your inspection grade?

Yes i have done my SEF ages ago, have proof of how i observe, assess and look at next stages and record these, how i have worked with other settings. loads of paper work risk assessments, policies, parent forms, EYFS summery forms, forms for sharing information with other settings/professionals etc. Photos of activities and resources.
I was told i won't be graded at all as i have no children on roll.

No point worrying i'll just get everything ready i know what i offer to families.
Just hope i get some children soon i have missed not working.

Thanks for your reply Sarah
