Well, I got an outstanding in three areas and a good in one! Therefore, a good overall. I was gutted I fell down in one area but the inspector was impressed with everything she saw. The reason I only got a good was because I hadn't filled the attendance register out this morning for my one mindee! So silly of me. Never mind.
We played with jelly, pastry, bubbles, cornflakes, spent time inside and outside.
At least it's over now! :clapping:

That's a brilliant outcome! What a shame about the attendance register though! It was probably only down to nerves with the inspection anyway.
That's quite gutting but still fantastic! Well done you!

Thank you all for your kind comments. She was here for 2 1/2 hours although it didn't actually feel that long. I was so nervous beforehand but once she was here I was fine. She was lovely. She was also gutted that she had to mark me down!

I think I am prepared but then I think of something else!
I must admit it took me a long time to get everything just so but it was worth it. A few tips: visitor book, birth to three and EYFS obs if you can, lots of photographs showing children feeding themselves etc, clearly labelled separate hand towels for adults and each individual child, activities for whilst the inspector is here, talk to the children about what they're doing and... paperwork! Oh my goodness, all the paperwork. Make sure that you have all the permissions signed and that if you're giving children any medication that it's recorded in the Accident book with the parent's signature. I also asked the parents to fill out a questionnaire. Display as many posters and certificates as you can. Mine are all in my hallway along with my visitors book.
Best of luck for next Wednesday. I was so very nervous but I had a lovely inspector.
