Hi all,

I wondered if you could give me a rough guide (especially those cm who have just had and inspection) to how long from registering your first graded inspection was and how much notice you got.
I am currently doing my BA degree in Early Years, have a 3000 word assignemnt to be in in two weeks and found out I'm pregnant!! and if I am completely honest dont know what to concentrate on as I know Ofsted are looming!
I worked in a nursery previously so when I started I was very hot on planning, paperwork and showing my understanding around childrens learning. This has now slipped and I can see them finding holes in stuff! Just having a little stress!

If you let me know roughly how long it was for new cm's for their first graded and how much notice you got.

Thanks

OMG not much on your plate then :laughing:

hon, get the ofsted done. it's an hour or two then out the way and your registration is in process whilst you are pregnant/on mat leave all ready for you to start when you are ready.

then, get your assignment out the way. not easy I know. I finished mine in 2010. Do you have kids already or is this your first. if it's your first, def. get done now before your LO arrives :p

congratulations by the way xxx

Hi I had my inspection 5 months after being registered and was lucky enough to have 2 weeks notice but not everyone does.

Congrats on your pregnancy :clapping::clapping:

I have my inspection on Friday which will be exactly 6 months since I registered. I received a phonecall asking if I was minding and the inspector called me three weeks after that to arrange a date.

I would get your paperwork up to date and then get your assignment out of the way and then you can concentrate on your bump :):)

Hmm, don't mention inspections to me - I appear to have slipped through the net. I've been registered 12 months and still no graded inspection. Despite me phoning them 4 times to 'complain'!

I'm all ready (have been since last June!) but still no phone call :( My friend just got inspected 3 months after registering

Good luck when it does come and congrats on your pregnancy!

Hey,

How exciting! (re bump)

I had my inspection 5 months after registering, in South East London area.

It wasn't so bad, just had paperwork to give her and some feedback from parents helped me alot (just had recommendation for children's views and fire blanket wasn't fitted correctly, not flat against wall, doh).

Good luck, and take it easy. Stay calm
