Following the birth of my 6th grandchild (1st Granddaughter) I have just heard from DD3's partner - things are not going well with DD3. :panic:

Baby Scarlet Rose is fine but DD3 won't stop bleeding, is in a lot of pain, appears to have some damage to her bladder and they can't get her temp up.

She is having blood pumped in and is on pain killers and in a heat blanket.

Please send your postive thoughts - that they get this sorted soon. DD3 is still in recovery room despite Scarlet being delivered at 9:45am.

Did consider cancelling tonight (works do) but going for meal in town where DD is in hospital so actually will be a lot nearer to her if go for meal than if stay at home.

Just a quick update as I still have very little news (last a couple of hours ago)

DD3 has has 2 pints of blood and 4 of fluids plus more pain killers.

Still on delivery still trying to find out route cause.

Hopefully more news tomorrow.

Oh and managed to enjoy works meal - good support from childminding friends - who all realised that I was just a tad stressed.

It was a planned C section at 38 weeks. From the little I know all went well with the delivery.

However DD has been in and out of hospital for many weeks due to early contractions and terrible pain.

In the end they decided that baby was ok and the pain was to do with DD and not baby - but could not work out what was causing pain - lots of scans / tests but pregnacy making it difficult to see / test some things.

Anyway they decided on the C section at 38 weeks as best option for Scarlett - and now I suppose they are getting nearer to what is the route cause.

I understand that they moved organs around etc once Scarlett was safely delivered so see if there was a clear reason but from my understanding didn't find anything (at least that is what I have been told by DD's partner).

DD4 went to hospital last night and spoke to partner but apart from news of blood in etc didn't get any further info.

Well - I think she is feeling more like her self - as issuing orders from the hospital bed!

She has decided that I am not to visit tonight because she does not want Dominic kicking off in the hospital - this is typical of her - no thought of the impact on Dominic.

Tried to explain that her Dad and I would be careful and already agreed that one of us would take Dominic out as soon as sign that he is not coping - which he won't as a social situation - and I understand her concern.

However he is desperate to see his sister and give her the doll he brought her :(

Still I am not going to create extra stress for her as she has / is going through a lot.

So Dominic and I will not be visiting tonight :(

Not sure when we will get to see Scarlett - DD phoned at 5.15am to scream at me down the phone.

My DD is known for her 'odd' behaviour and her ability to extend the truth or just lie ( in fact I don't believe most of what she says - and it was only when her partner text to say that she was poorly that I believed that - as he can be relied on to tell things as they are)

So if believe what she says both she and Scarlett are very poorly and neither Dominic or I will be able to visit in her words 'for the foreseeable future' as she says they both have extremly rare bug.

There was no concern for Scarlett or worry about the visitors that let visit last night (yes that hurt - friends of hers have seen Scarlett whilst Dominic and I have not) No concern about if her partner would be able to visit today - in fact no concern or worry about others at all!

The reason I don't believe her is because the whole phone call was to shout abuse at me, about her father and about every single one of the professionals looking after her - from cleaner to consultant - as according to her they don't have a clue what they are doing!

However I am still worried sick about her and Scarlett - and so I am waiting for a text or phone call from her partner - to tell me the facts.

Dominic meanwhile is understandably not able to understand why he can not go to see mummy and Scarlett - and as a result his behaviour is more challenging than usual.

Penny, I know how difficult things have been and are now becoming apparent again. You know dd's behaviour patterns inside out and as you are ever constant in her life this is why she chooses to punnish you. It will resolve, sometime, it always does, and you will have the joy of your granddaughter.

oh Penny I am sorry. I know there are issues with your DD and your grandson. I can't imagine how hard it is to care for them both but be at the receiving end of aggressive behaviour towards you when you are caring for them.
