Mrs O arrived at 11am this morning so most of our activity that we had planned was over and the 2 babies were getting grumpy. They are used to going out in a morning.

She was very friendly but kept asking me the same questions in another way. Was very happy with my Daily Diary and LJ but did say as I had only been minding for 13wks there werent enough obs for her to go on and not enough evidence linked to EYFS.All my other things were spot on and gained goods but as LJ's were a main area of concern I got graded Satisfactory overall.

She said that with time and more children to mind I would then have the evidence for her to give me a Very Good or Outstanding. She also said that Ofsted are hoping that the EYFS gets downside considerably for childminders as its unfair that we have to do the same as a nursery does. Heres hoping.

Glad its over but feel very disappointed with myself.

Good luck to everyone else having them out this week.

well done :clapping:
you have nothing to feel disapointed about !
As long as the children and their parents are happy, you are outstanding to them and thats what matters. they wouldn't bring their child to you if they thought otherwise

Why are you dissappointed, you're meeting all the requirements and doing a good job and she can see you're moving forward all the time:clapping: be proud of yourself, you've done well:clapping:

I can understand that you must be disapointed - and after all it is the system of inspecting so soon after taking on mindees that is the problem - most childminders are not going to have enough evidence .

However as the others have said - you need to think about all the positive things the inspector said - which seem to be loads.

don't be hard on yourself - the parents and children are happy - and that is the most important thing

Welldone to you too. Must admit I only have 1 mindee at time of inspection n my son was asleep most of time she was here. If he was up it will be a different story.
My mindee was as good as gold, she remember all the p & q, wash hands, etc.

Sell yourself like my local school they got good but you would never know it as they always put Outstanding in etc etc

You could do the same by highlighting the good areas of your report when you talk to parents

By the way I think Satisfactory is great it means you are doing what you should be doing
