Evening all.

I'm getting really hacked off with Ofsted. I started minding when I registered in January, phoned Ofsted and told them. In July got a letter asking if I wanted to remain on the childcare register as I'm not currently minding. Err.... So I phoned them again.

I've heard nothing since, and so today I phoned again, to let them know that I've yet to have my first inspection - nearly 12 months after registering!

I'm mad. I've been trying so hard to do everything 'right' and keep on top of paperwork, obs, planning, SEF etc. The last thing I need at the moment is to be chasing them!

Is it me??

I have been told to expect my first one in six months or before.
So I would definitely ring them to sort it out. I know ofsted is daunting but I would want my inspection so I know it's done. :)

My DH registered last October and only had his first inspection last month. We had to keep badgering them to come out.

That's not very good really just imagine if their is childminders not following correct procedures, I wouldn't be very happy :/

There's such a variation in this - some people seem to get their inspections the minute they start minding whilst others slip through the net.

I hope they catch up with you soon!
