Hi all
I have had my inspection today. I am happy overall I was graded as good and have areas of outstanding. I was given 2 recommendations one was that my fire blanket was in cupboard next to the cooker and needs to be on the wall. The other one is that I should get a copy of the risk asessment that is done at the childrens centre for every childminding group that I attend. This is do not think will go down well when I ask which will be interesting.

Why is not your own RA for the Children's Centre good enough for Ofsted ?

Hi

because the activities change each week she suggested that with me having a copy of the risk assessment completed by childrens centre is evidence that it is suitable for childminders.

So she wants you to get their RA every week? :panic:

yes she does.

I think that she was going a bit over the top can you imagine the response that I will get from the groups.

Congratulations. I wouldn't worry about getting a weekly risk assessment because you are professional and competant and will risk assess as you go along - as long as you have got a general one for each playgroup.

Oh how silly! Don't worry about it - the Eyfs will have changed by the time you are inspected next anyway.

I'd wait and see what happens with the changes first before asking anyone for their RAs.

Well done on your inspection! :clapping:

I have spoken to all of the other groups and they will photocopy the RA that they complete and give us all a copy for the future.A bit over the top i think especially as we have been told that the childrens centre are having more funding cut and they now have to copy these RA to give all the minders a copy
