Hi,

I've had a quick look on here for the answer but I could not find one so I'm sorry if it has been discussed before.

My neighbour is going through the process of becoming a childminder and should be registered in February. Once she is up and running we will hopefully become co-minders but until then I was hoping she could look after my daughter for a couple of hours one morning if I paid her. This will be great experience for her and will give us some quality time apart.

As far as I can tell the 2 hrs is ok but am I allowed to pay her for it?

Thanks in advance, Julie

If the fact sheet Miffy has linked to doesn't help then I suggest you check with Ofsted before doing anything that they might not agree with.

Hth :D
