Sorry to have to ask this but I'm not very computer literate! How do you take a section of someones post so that it shows on your post in italics that you can then comment on? (Does that make any sense?).
Everyone else seems to know how to do it, I have tried clicking on the 'quote' at the bottom but it never seems to work for me

You are doing it right, it is the 'quote' button that you need to press.
What happens when you do it?
Do you have to highlight the section you want to reply to and then press "Quote". I have tried both doing this and also just pressing quote. The whole post comes up with symbols next to paragraphs etc. I then type my comment but when I submit it it only seems to show the part that I have typed.
Sorry to be dipsy

You are not dipsy Carole, we all have to learn!
When you press the quote button it should quote the whole post with [quote= then the username etc.
what you should do then is just write you reply underneath.......after the /quote]
If you don't want to quote the whole post, just remove the part you don't want from it but make sure you don't alter any of the bits in the square [ ] brackets.
Hope that helps. :)
Thanks Pauline!
I'll give that a try later - I better go and feed my baby now or she'll be phoning Childline - well no, she can't actually talk yet so that's ok!

Perhaps you accidentally removed some of the stuff in the brackets [] ?
If not, what did it look like?
