Thanks Miffy - it also sais on there :
If you care for children aged four and five who are present only before and/or after a normal school day and in school holidays you may count them as older than the early years age group. This allows you to have extra children in the early years age group but no more than six children in total.
You should write and ask us for a special condition on your certificate before the first time you do this. The condition allows you to increase the numbers of children in the early years age group by the number of children aged four and five who are present only before and/or after a normal school day and in school holidays.
So it seems that we now have to ring them up and get the clause added on if we care for any 4 year olds in fulltime school
Oh and you might need to quote the document at Ofsted as the one I spoke to didnt know much about it.....

So it looks like we need to ring Osfed when one of our mindees goes to school if we intend to take on another EY child in their place.(if we have the limit)
So If I had two EY and a 4yr old schoolie I would have to ring Ofsted and tell them If I wanted to take on another EY child.
Meaning that I would have 3 EY and a 4yr old schoolie.

they say "ring up" but when i rang up i was told to fill out a variation form. They said they couldnt change anything "over the phone"
those forms are so time consuming!

The child isnt classed as an under 5 but we have to ring up and get a variation???
