Hi every one,
On Saturday I went to my refresher first aid course and lo and behold they have changed how we resusitate children. It use to be 2 rescue breaths then 15 compressions and then 2 breaths, but now it is 5 rescue breaths then 30 compressions and then 2 breaths. When we all tried to do it in practise it was us who needed resusitating:laughing: ,we were exhausted.
I am now going through my first aid boxes, out of interest what kind of things do you hold in yours?

Oh joy! I've got mine soon... I will look forward to being totally confused
There are a couple of recent threads knocking around about contents of first aid boxes... but tbh they should tell you on the course... have a browse through the search facility :D

I've just done mine too! I think it makes it easier to remember along with the adults

At least it is easier to remember now as it is the same for adults too, (although you leave out the rescue breaths at the start and go straight in with compressions for the adult).
I imagine it as on a clock as 5.32 for children and 0.32 for adults, don't know how it helps but it does! :)
