Hi,

Ive just recieved a phone call from a lady at Tribal (on behalf of Ofsted). They were checking to see if i was currently minding, how many mindees, what days and hours i work. She said she would be updating the system and an inspector will call shortly to arrange an inspection date.

I was just wondering if anyone else had a call from tribal and if so how long was it between their call and your inspection ?

They often ring one month checking availability for the next... but it might be sooner so you'd best get yourself ready.

Have a look through the inspections part of the forum for lots of tips :D

I think im pretty much prepared for it, all paperwork up to date and in order.
So literally just waiting for the call now.

Thats next on my list, then all i need to do is finish my SEF and think of some ideas for activities to do on the day.

I got a call in July asking for numbers on roll but they did not get back to do an inspection until September, I think it can vary from area to area and the numbers of childminders on their list.

You will be fine, it is the waiting that is stressful though :)

Ive had that call about half an hour ago. She said an inspector would contact me to arrange a date :panic:

I had a call on Friday & she booked there & then. I though I might get a call 1st to confirm number & ages & then a further call later. Oh no I wasnt that lucky.

Well tomorrow will be 2 weeks since there call and ive heard nothing yet....

I thought i would get a call last week so they could conduct the insection over the half term as i heard this is often the case.

Oh well back to waiting....

Mine called, asked what children l had on Tuesdays and Thursdays then said she was either coming on a Tues/Thurs if not arrived at 9.00 on Tues l would know she was coming then gave me dates which was 2 weeks away.

well 2 1/2 weeks since call and still nothing.... and to make matters worse my mindee's parents have just given in their notice to terminate the contract from 1st January and want to reduce the hours from December so lets hope they phone and come soon.....

I got a 'are you minding' call before half term from Tribal, she said she'd call back middle of November to book.

But my development worker said one lady got a initial call and then it was months later she came... but on another side they are jumping on newbies asap after 6month point of registration.

So i'm spending my time wisely and making sure everything is completed this weekend, so i'm not fretting when I get the call.

Its the same lady I had for registration so want to make a good impression (well I would with anyone but more so as she saw me first ifyswim :) )

Got SEF done, just want to review and add to in the morning, with a fresh head.

Think part I'm worried about is EYFS, I do obs etc but only been opened 4mths with 1 child and 2nd child been 5 weeks with us... so not got files packed and I'm not fluent in EYFS talk...

But fingers crossed everyone xx

I have mine this week too & I feel ill with worry. i just hope she calls in the early part of the week coz if she dont the house will look like a tip again lol. Good luck

Well they have just called and my inspection is 09:30 TOMORROW MORNING !!!!
at least i dont have to wait to long as i think i would start to worry about the smallest of things.

Well I have waited in yesterday & today & she hasnt been. My other day that i said I would be in is Thursday so i am guessing thats when it will be.

I fed with waiting now now because my nerves are in tatters. I hope she does call on Thursday & that i havent been forgotten as I wont be very pleased.

Got my call yesterday morning, either today, tomorrow or friday!!!

Like you cupcake22 i'm in tatters had 2hrs sleep...
