Ofsted came last Monday, I was so nervous I didn't sleep for a week!!! She was so calm and friendly, put me at ease straight away, she was here for 4 hours though!! I got an OUtstanding in all areas so I am very pleased and quiet proud of myself as my last one was satifactory.

When she arrived, I had the chain on the door, wouldn't let her in until I had seen her I.D, my hall way as all my certificates displayed and a sign in register for parents/carers and one for visitors. Also an area with fire procedure displayed and what we are doing that week, a menu planner and 3 charts with 'book of the week', today's dinner, and star of the day. all with pictures. this way the parents see them as they mostly stand in the hallway when collecting/dropping off.
I had done my SEF so she was pleased with that as at the moment they seem very focused on reflecting on your practice. I have a folder with my risk assessments in (inc.what plants are toxic) a folder with EYFS activities and plans. a folder of daily checks, indoor and outdoor temp, tick boxes for soap, towels, flannels etc. all children have their own toiletries bag and towel.
folder with policies and procedure. I also have a file with all courses attended and gap tasks etc.
Also a daily dairy with what the kids have done to be sent home everyday and get feedback off the parents.
These kept her busy for quite a while. Hope this helps, let me know if you need any more info.
