hi all i own my own home but was told i had to ask council about planning permission to do childcare from home, i have been sent questionaire from council and they will decide if i can go ahead as anyone else had this and will it cause me problems thanks debbie:panic:

It depends on where you live Debbie. Where I live we only have to apply for planning permission if we take on an assistant and increase our numbers.

We only have to apply if we have more than 6 under 8s.

I also had to fill in a planning form from my local council when I registered with CSSIW. I have been restricted to having 6 minded children, of any age, only - however I can really only fit 4 mindees and my 2 daughters in the car anyway so it's fine by me!

thanks tulip i think i should be ok i was worrying about parents parking but i have a big drive they can pull into so neighbours should be ok x:)
