I had my phone call from Ofsted and I think my visit will be this thursday. I'm a bit worried as I have only just (this week) started writing my planning down. Before now I have just done it in my head without anything in writing. Is it going to be a problem that I have nothing written down? 2 of my under 5's only started 1 month ago and another last week. I had 1 under 5 when I was first registered and I didn't write any planning down for him at all. He is ad hoc and I haven't had him for over a month and he's not booked in for anytime in the future. My only other mindee is 6 and I don't do any planning for him at all before and after school. School holidays I do but that is all. Is this going to go down badly with the inspector? I'm quite scared about it.:panic:

Have you written down any observations of your little ones and planned next steps from those?

The most important thing is that you show how you are meeting the child's needs - as an individual.

So you do observations, follow them with next steps planning, show that has been done etc and plot it all against the development matters document that came with the Eyfs guidance.

Hth :D
